So, do you consider yourself a strong people developer who can lead from the front, drive ambitious growth through proven people and strategic leadership, whilst focusing on our customers. This role sits within our Midlands Region which spans from Shrewsbury across to Norfolk, you’ll be in control of your own diary, but it would help if you were sat right in the middle of this patch. However, if you’re happy with travelling it's totally up to you.
With your energetic and engaging leadership style and your extensive Sales experience, you will lead a team of Regional Account Managers who work in conjunction with our branches to deliver the strategy to promote Travis Perkins, our products & services to existing and potential customers and to continually review markets and products in conjunction with the external sales team to target new business opportunities.
Principal Accountabilities
As a genuine leader, you will motivate, develop and set the standard for your team, understanding the uniqueness of remote people management.
You will continually develop the business within the region.
Provide input into the sales and profit budget and monitor and review your teams performance against agreed criteria in terms of territory plan, calling rate, product objectives
Understand and interpret customer requirements whilst using every opportunity to ensure that Travis Perkins is seen to be the go to supplier.
Take ownership of quality improvement activities, improving work processes and partnerships.
Lead by example, engaging colleagues fostering our industry-leading Stay Safe culture.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships between the sales team, Branch Managers and Branch networks in order to maximise the greatest opportunity through sales performance and customer potential.

With exceptional communication and influencing skills, you will have the ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders and be able to make informed decisions.
A visionary, collaborative and engaging leader, you will be highly motivated, innovative, tenacious and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will have exceptional customer relationship management skills and the ability to create and sustain long-term partnerships.
With your newly learnt knowledge of suppliers, competitors and market commercial understanding, you will be able to drive business growth to make a real difference to this important region.
As a seasoned strategic thinker, you will ideally have market and sector knowledge, or within an adjacent business, a balance of people leadership, supplier management, customer focus, business development and sales experience, specifically focussed around this region.
With excellent organisational skills you will have the ability to plan and prioritise the work of self and others.
