Regional Technical Manager

BSS - Regional Technical Manager (Engineering) - London

We are looking for a Regional Technical Manager on a full-time basis. BSS are looking for candidates who are degree qualified in Building Services or equivalent and have 4-5 years plus experience in industry. 

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be joining one of the many brands under the Travis Perkins group who are a leading distributor of heating, pipeline, process and mechanical services equipment to the Building Services and Industrial sectors. 

This would suit somebody who is looking for a career change and has worked in the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) industry. BSS are also looking for someone who has experience in working in plant rooms and how everything goes together. If you have worked in companies which specialise in boilers, pumps and tube manufacturers, this would be of interest. 

No two days will be the same in this role, but the role can consist of going to a client site, surveying and 3D scanning the site. You will also be meeting with both the client and customer then going back to your home base to design the solutions on CAD and passing the design onto our work winning office. 

On a day to day basis, the successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Detailed on site fault finding on complex industrial and commercial systems

• Interpretation and value engineering of 3rd party specifications

• Providing technical surveys and project evaluation as well as supporting on project documentation

• Responsibility for end to end project managing and delivering effective engineering solutions, package solutions as well as health checking ongoing projects & packages to uphold customer standards and meet project timelines

You will be expected to have a working knowledge of CIBSE guides B & M and a sound working knowledge of AutoCAD. 

Furthermore, you will need to have a demonstrable track record in technical surveying and report writing and also be able to develop good working relationships with pre-selected customers in order to gain commitment to buy a set range of equipment without compromise/in return for any added value service.
