We, at CCF part of the Travis Perkins Group, have a brilliant opportunity for a HGV Branch Relief Driver to join our supportive and thriving branch in Gateshead, which is located on Team Valley.  This branch boasts a total of 26 colleagues and 9 delivery vehicles which do around 50 deliveries a day to various types of building projects across the north east. So it’s fair to say, it's a busy branch.You’ll join our experienced team of 9 delivery drivers and 7 forklift drivers who thrive off teamwork to service our customers as safely and efficiently as possible. What will I be doing?
With your new found skills, experience and product knowledge, here is an insight into branch life
  • Playing a key part of the team covering sickness, holidays and absence.
  • Picking packing and organising specialist construction materials for loading.
  • Providing a first class customer experience through our collection offering 
  • Maintaining high standards of safe operating and housekeeping.
  • Distributing materials in a safe and professional manner to our loyal customers.
  • Using MOFFETT offload safely and efficiently to unload products (Great news! We will invest in this training).
  • Multidrop deliveries to both new and existing customers. Usually 2 or 3 runs per day.

What are we looking for?
  • Applicants will have a Category C driving licence, up to date CPC records and recent driving and Forklift experience.
  • We are looking for a flexible candidate who enjoys the thrill of no two days at work being the same. The successful applicant will take pride in their work operating in a safe, efficient and professional manner. 
  • A can do attitude and a confident and friendly manner with customers, colleagues and suppliers is the most important thing for us.
