Senior Estimator

As a Senior Estimator within our Technical Services team at Travis Perkins, you’ll play a critical part in delivering high-quality technical and estimating services to our internal and external customers. You’ll deliver high quality projects, maintain performance standards, and develop construction knowledge of colleagues, ensuring regulatory and construction requirements are adhered to.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead from the front in a role that combines technical construction knowledge, customer focus, and stakeholder collaboration.

Location: Travis Perkins, Harvey Reeves Road, Northampton.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project workloads

• Lead on key customer projects, ensuring accuracy, excellent service and timely delivery.

• Ensure accuracy and quality across all work, in line with project and building regulations.

• Collaborate with leadership to achieve performance and AOP recovery targets.

• Resolve customer queries and maintain service excellence.

• Support innovation and identify opportunities to grow and improve technical services.

• Monitor customer feedback and use insights to enhance our service offering.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver the best technical solutions for customer projects.

• Oversee onboarding, training, and development of colleagues.

Your ability to lead, coach, and deliver high standards will be vital to the success of the team and the satisfaction of our customers. You’ll bring both technical acumen and people leadership to the role.

Along with the above, you’ll also have:

• Previous experience at a senior-level estimating role within UK new build housing.

• HNC/HND/ degree in the built environment, or equivalent experience in construction or estimating.

• Strong background in construction estimating, building products, technical services, and customer delivery.

• Confidence interpreting construction plans, specs, and regulations.

• Sound emotional intelligence with clear communication skills.
