Would you like to be part of a team testing and configuring a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) for a large reputable company?

The holder of this role will conduct the configuration and testing of the JDA WMS 9.1 application. The successful candidate will also train/brief small groups of Super Users on system changes and provide 2nd/3rd line support (including out of hours support).

• Be an internal SME on the platform, performing advanced configuration of the platform to meet business requirements

• Provide 2nd line support of the platform, including out of hours support on a rota

• Capture and document requirements to be configured in the WMS as part of the platform roadmap, in partnership with the Platform Manager and key stakeholders.  Be able to articulate problems and engage with the relevant colleagues to analyse and determine the way forwards

• Define and develop the test scripts and test data required for system changes.  Lead the testing

• Conduct and construct materials for end user training, inputting into change management and communications

• Ensure the system stays on the upgrade path and ensure system upgrades are planned and fully tested.  Liaising with the 3rd party supplier to manage system upgrades/patches.

• Liaise with other platform teams to co-ordinate configurations and deployments as part of larger solution development activities

• Take the lead in the prioritisation of WMS requirements to be delivered, in light of detailed knowledge of configuration complexity and implications

• Capture and develop roadmap recommendations from user feedback

• Help define the standards and guidelines for how the WMS should be configured and ensure associated documentation is maintained and the standards are adhered to

We are looking for someone with experience of configuring and testing a highly configurable solution. Ideally you will have added experience in configuring and testing JDA WMS v9.1/Discrete, including customising features using off-the-shelf functionality and management of security settings and profiles. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) will be essential, with an ability to make technical and configuration considerations relevant to a range of stakeholders, including warehouse staff, corporate staff, developers and Product Owners. We will also be looking for the ability to derive test scripts from business processes but also challenge and negotiate on requirements.
