Senior Procurement Manager - Goods Not for Resale (GNFR)

This is an exciting time at Travis Perkins, where you will join at the early stages of the Goods Not for Resale / Indirect Procurement journey.

We are looking for someone that isn't afraid to challenge senior stakeholders and suppliers to find savings across the group, whilst also maintaining  our excellent reputation within the industry. You can be a specialist or a generalist within the GNFR/ Indirect space.

You will be a strategic business partner managing a portfolio in excess of £400m. Working with relevant business areas to help provide overall direction for procurement activity,  with a strong commercial eye and a focus on streamlining business processes.

Location: Hybrid working with some time based in Northampton office.

You may currently be a Senior Procurement Manager, Indirect Procurement Manager, Category Manager, Procurement Manager, or Senior / Indirect Buyer who is looking to develop their career within a growing team.

We regard these to be following key activities;

• Provide leadership beyond just buying, by seeing the bigger picture, and focussing on the things that will make the biggest difference to our overall strategy

• Building of business cases for alternative sourcing models, and on policy and procedures covering the selection of suppliers, tendering, and procurement

• Working effectively with internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and understanding the business needs

• Building and releasing RFPs where required

• Negotiating with new and existing suppliers

• Supplier management during selection process

• Experience of negotiating large scale GNFR contracts

• Previously implemented change

• Able to engage with senior level stakeholders

• Well organised with an eye for detail

• Able to work in a fast paced environment
