Location: Flexible/Hybrid - Weekly travel to Northampton

  • You will be part of the TA management team, leading the day to day management and development of our growing and evolving Operational (Branch) recruitment team.
  • Work and partner with Senior Leaders and the HRBP teams to set the strategic direction of the recruitment function, identifying opportunities to increase recruitment effectiveness. 
  • The opportunity to design and deliver our TA proposition to move all colleague recruitment 'in house' to better support the hiring managers and drive cultural shifts through new and diverse routes to market. 
  • Collaboration with our D&I, Pride, ACE, Ability and Youth networks to ensure the Talent Acquisition strategy supports their ambitions for change.
  • Working to support our Employer Brand initiatives, helping to deliver a compelling and authentic employer brand through our social initiatives to attract a diverse range of talent and further elevate the Travis Perkins Group as an employer of choice. 

What we need from you:

  • The ability to demonstrate a focus on strategic talent acquisition, you will have at least 10 years of leadership in operational and/or corporate recruiting in a high volume, often reactive, environment.
  • Confidence to influence change in a highly dynamic environment where a high degree of flexibility and adaptability is required.
  • Excellent leadership skills. You will be able to attract, motivate and retain a team of Talent Acquisition Partners in order to drive results for the wider business.
  • Strong analytical and metrics orientation, setting ambitious KPIs for your team while using data to gain awareness and visibility to support a position and demonstrate results. 
  • Extremely comfortable partnering and dealing with all levels of the organisation, clearly articulating the Talent Acquisition strategy.
