fWe have an exciting opportunity for a Servicenow Configuration/Release Manager to sit within our Group Technology function at Ryehill House in Northampton.
You’ll be responsible for understanding business problems / opportunities, clarifying requirements across multiple stakeholders, and assuring technical solution design meets customer needs. This role drives objective decision making based on data analysis, leveraging Servicenow and organisational knowledge to support businesses in exploring their strategic & tactical options.
Main Responsibilities of the role
Work with stakeholders to determine customer requirements, confirmation re specification, progress updates, explain functionality and provide instruction for ongoing use/support
Manage the Servicenow Idea to Demand process; managing user expectations and issues arising out of exceptional circumstances or delays within the development plans whilst in turn promoting good working relationships and ensure all development is not detrimental to existing customers/colleagues
Coordinates activities of multiple capabilities to ensure technical solution design satisfies business requirements, whilst complying with organisational governance process.
Responsible for triaging Servicenow incidents and requests; resolve where able and assign appropriately to other team members
Work with Business Analysts and Project Managers to elicit and understand the business requirements for customer-facing/operational change (considering both functional and nonfunctional aspects) and managing these requirements to support effective solution design.
Responsible for the security of Servicenow to ensure that the correct/appropriate access is granted
Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders that support collaborative ways of working, encourage positive interaction between all parties (IT, Business, 3rd Parties) and positively represent the Servicenow service and GTS
Manages the change control process. Defines a clear plan to transition new developments into the run state. Adopts shared quality standards across the team; ensures that appropriate levels of test code coverage are applied to deliver good quality code into production. Develop clear and concise technical/process documentation
Prioritises in conjunction with the Service Lead, activities of the Servicenow service according to defined principles and practices. Serves as the primary escalation point for the Servicenow service, identifying and prioritising service enhancements based on issue resolution and service improvements
