Shift Manager - F&P

Our F&P Wholesale Network have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager.  Join our fast paced business and friendly team, where we work hard to simply delivering more for our customers and colleagues.

The role we're recruiting for:

In this key role you will manage the service, safety, engagement and productivity across the shifts to ensure collectively that customer demand is met.  You will work closely with the team, leading improvement in performance and processes.  Creating a results focussed culture where the team are motivated and driven by efficiency, accuracy and delighting our customers.

You will:

• Report to the Operations Manager, with responsibility for managing resource to meet demand, whilst managing costs and safety.

• Communicating regularly with the colleagues and the team, coaching the team to improve performance and productivity.

• Work as a key member of the site management team, creating better ways of working across functions by improving communication and processes.

• Monitor key performance data and feedback from other functions and customers, to determine current performance against our customer experience targets.

• Recruit, motivate, manage and develop the team.  Regularly checking and understanding morale and engagement within the team.

• Lead and embed the stay safe culture in all of the activities and processes within the shift.

It would be great if you had:

Previous experience of managing a team in a warehouse or distribution environment is essential, along with experience of managing risk and bringing safety culture to life. You will be analytical and data driven to enable effective forecasting, planning and monitoring performance and cost trends. You will also be a natural people manager with great communication skills and the ability to motivate and improve performance.
