Are you a self motivated team player with the ability to multitask whilst meeting tight deadlines? Here at Travis Perkins we’re urgently looking for an Software Asset Manager to join us permanently here in Northampton. 

What you'll do…

As our Software Asset Manager, you’ll be responsible for making a positive difference and contributing to the development of the Service Control, responsible for the quality, version and business ownership of all company applications as well as ensuring that compliance and entitlement is accurately reflected within the companies software management tool. 

- Manage relationships with third party Software Asset Management service providers via service meetings to ensure SLA’s are being met service continually improved where appropriate.
- Identifying risks and issues with any relevant change agenda including Change Management and work with them to resolve issues.
- Working with the commercial team to ensure the  software licence procurement process is understood ensuring that at the point of purchase, the relevant licence metrics are clearly accepted by all relevant stakeholders. 
- Ensure that standard operating procedures relating to Software Asset Management are completed and distributed to appropriate direct stakeholders. 
- Responsible for Utilising and maintaining current SAM tools to ensure the data provided accurately reflects an effective licence position, highlighting and taking accountability of any issues arising from health checks or vulnerabilities.
- Ensure data submitted to all external auditors is thoroughly checked for accuracy. Collate any Proof of Entitlement reports in order to evidence correct deployment against procurement records.
- Managing non compliance, risk and exposure to the business by using ELP’ actions to resolve any issues and escalating to all relevant stakeholders ensuring all are managed..
- Ensure that the use of Software assets within the group are appropriately managed throughout their lifecycle in both a secure and cost-effective manner as well as ensuring that there are no compliance or security and vulnerability issues. 


Is this you? 

You will have experience of managing applications throughout their asset lifecycle. You will be able to demonstrate extensive analytical, ELP and licence entitlement experience . It is also important that you have experience of working with industry standard SAM tools particularly snow.
