Stock Controller
Location - Kingswinford

How important is this role to the business
- Joining our friendly and hard-working family as a Stock Controller, you will support the Kingswinford branch to effectively manage stock at all times by ensuring stock performance targets are met.
- Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that the Kingswinford branch has the correct levels of stock to support customers, and look for continuous methods of improvement whilst ensuring the application and maintenance of Company stock holding standards and stock management principles are adhered to.
- Being part of the Kingswinford branch team you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.
What will I be doing?
The Kingswinford branch opening hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 06:00 – 20:00 and Saturday 07:00 – 12:00. Colleagues work across 2 shifts, generally, these are 06:00 - 14:00 and 12:00 - 20:00. Your role will work across the 2 shifts 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday and every other Saturday. You may be required to work different hours occasionally
Implement stock control to defined targets and achieve agreed availability levels.
Support with the control and management of Physical Inventory counts, Stock Takes, Stock Adjustments and Damaged Stock.
Maximise the stock efficiency and take into consideration local demand and regional differences.
Prepare and manage the implementation of stock allocations for the Kingswinford branch.
Assist in the production of central and local ranges for the Kingswinford branch to ensure stock is relevant to requirements.
Review and monitor out of stock and resolve any issues.
Deliver training for team members in best practice for efficient stock management.
Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided

What skills do you need?
Experience of working in stock is essential as well as having excellent communication and customer service skills to build and maintain a network of colleagues at all levels. You will need to be able to plan, organise and problem solve. You should have good product knowledge and range awareness. You will need to be enthusiastic with a high level of self motivation.
