We're currently hiring students (18+*) to join our summer placement scheme on a flexible contract starting ASAP to September paying Real Living Wage £9.90ph.

It's a great way to earn extra money alongside your studies and during the summer holidays. On top of that, our working hours offer a great work life balance - most of our customers choose to enjoy their evenings, weekends and bank holidays which means you can too! There may also be the opportunity for your contract to be extended to pick up additional hours throughout the rest of the year.

What will I be doing?

Based at our Daventry Branch in Northamptonshire you will support the team to provide our customers with the first class service that they’ve come to expect. Whether it’s a kitchen renovation, a new garden patio or a fresh lick of paint, you will support our customers to purchase the products they need to make home improvement visions a reality.
 
You don’t need any previous experience to be considered for this role as full training will be provided but for the best chance of securing yourself a place you’ll need to be someone who:
  • Isn’t afraid to get stuck in - from preparing click and collect orders to serving customers over the counter and helping them to load their vehicles, your positive attitude will keep our business as the number one choice.
  • Loves to talk and build relationships - you’ll get to know our customers by name and learn about the projects they’re working on, upselling relevant products and positively impacting our sales.
  • Has an eye for detail - health and safety is our top priority so if you see something that doesn’t look right you’ll call it out to ensure the safety of our colleagues and customers at all times.

We will also offer you additional careers support with fortnightly webinars about different areas of our organisation, as well as the chance to join our mentoring programme with one of our experienced colleagues.
