Supervisor Accounts Payable

- Take responsibility for all non segregated activities in relation to the goods for resale suppliers on the accounts payable ledger including supervising the work of a team of clerks who perform the day to day activities.
- Process accounts and invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures, agreed KPI’s and SLA’s
- Ensure setup of new suppliers on the accounts payable ledger is accurate and complete
- Reconcile the accounts payables ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Manage and monitor the queries in regards to invoices, invoices on hold in a timely manner and review accounts for debit balances periodically
- Review completed supplier statement reconciliations on a periodic basis
- Oversee and maintain existing supplier account details and remove suppliers who have not been used for 13 months
- Ensure compliance with Internal Control Framework and Delegation of Authority matrix at all times
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- High degree of accuracy
- Understanding of invoicing and supplier communications
- Problem solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise activities
- AAT qualified or potential desire to study an accounting qualification
- Proven working experience as an accounts payable supervisor
- Good Excel skills
