Supply Chain Analyst
Location: Crick, Northamptonshire - M1 Junction 18

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our friendly team reporting to the Supply Chain Manager within our Plumbing and Heating division of Travis Perkins plc. 

The successful candidate will be required to maximise availability for a specified group of suppliers, through placing orders for our central warehouse, minimising stock value & cost to serve. You will also be responsible for optimising the replenishment system JDA, to drive accurate forecasting and ordering.

To be successful in this role you will;

- Place appropriate timely purchase orders on the supplier base using the best in class JDA system, to ensure above target stock availability on a set sku profile. 

- Use the JDA system, and daily reports to identify current and potential Out of Stocks, and Overstocks. Manage the orderbook to maintain optimum stock health and return on stock employed.

- Review current demand on the Distribution Centre, and expected future demand, to update forecast of each sku appropriately, to ensure accurate ordering.

- Act as a reference point for branch and branch support colleagues with inventory issues. To offer the best possible customer service. 

- Optimise parameter settings in JDA, including safety stocks, forecasting, lead times, order reviews, and new product set up (NPI), to ensure accurate ordering.

- Work closely with Category Commercial colleagues to provide analytics on PDH stock, with supporting information to fulfill rebate deals and ‘buying gain’ purchases as required to support in any commercial negotiations. 

- Build and maintain great supplier performance by working collaboratively with the supply base.  Sharing relevant data i.e. purchase plans with suppliers at an agreed time period.

- Collaborate with PDH warehouse colleagues to arrange and schedule supplier deliveries and act as point of contact to support resolution of quality, safety, pricing or data issues. 

- Review processes and outputs, and challenge to continually improve.

What we are looking for;

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate attention to detail, tenacity and an ability to operate in a results driven environment. There is a need for an in depth understanding of the JDA forecasting & replenishment tool or equivalent Supply Chain system. And have the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and supplier base. You will also be able to manipulate data from excel or google sheets
