Technical Manager North - Insulation

The role

As part of the growing CCF technical team you’ll support the drive for insulation sales growth by developing and nurturing strategic customer technical relationships and delivering high quality technical and specification support aligned to varying customer and project needs. This role is central to our technical service offer in the insulation market and will support our North and Central regions customers, branches and sales teams.

You will provide high quality and timely technical and specification support to customers (remotely, in person and on site as appropriate) in order to drive increasing sales and insulation mix in the short term whilst identifying market opportunities and trends that will drive mid and long term growth.

You’ll use your high level of attention to detail, ability to read and interpret construction layout drawings and specifications and assess buildability of details to ensure that customers have solutions that not only meet their technical specifications (and all relevant regulations), but represent good value for money and are practical to build on site. 

In addition to your customer relationships, you’ll develop strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that our customers get the support they need even for the most unusual or complex projects.  

What we are looking for

You will have a proven track record in the provision of customer technical services relating to building insulation products and systems, building regulations, construction details and U-value calculations .   

You’ll be skilled at developing and maintaining mutually beneficial and long lasting customer relationships and you’ll have excellent industry knowledge which you’ll keep up to date with the very latest industry developments.  

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must and you’ll have the ability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly, both verbally and in writing, to different knowledge levels.

A knowledge of (and qualification in) passive fire protection would also be an advantage.
