Looking to start your career but not sure where, how about becoming an Apprentice to really kickstart your career.  Do you like meeting new people and being part of a team, are you interested in everything electrical, maybe taking things apart, testing, fixing and putting back together...then read on!.  Joining our family as a Tool Hire Customer Apprentice you can do exactly that.  You’ll help customers find the tools they need for their jobs, it could be anything from hand tools to drills to earth-movers, whatever equipment is required, safety will always be your priority. With your support and fantastic service, you’ll have customers singing our praises.

Our Great Yarmouth branch is renowned for great customer service, its a really busy branch with a footfall of over 120 customers a day.  We have an experienced team and the Branch Manager has created a fun and professional atmosphere, so you will be in great hands.  The branch already boasts 14 colleagues, including a team of 3 in Tool Hire with 4 delivery vehicles.

Hours of work: Our branches are open Monday - Friday from 7am - 5.00pm and Saturdays from 8am - 12pm (you only need to work 2 in 4) 

What are we looking for?
  • We’re looking for individuals who have a thirst for learning and are keen to build a career with one of Britain's Top Employers.  We’ll teach you the knowledge and skills you need to be great within this role.
  • You’ll be friendly and outgoing and great with customers, some we know on a first name basis
  • Someone with the ability to learn new systems and skills quickly  
  • Someone with basic interest in anything mechanical or an interest in tools and equipment
  • Applicants must be aged 18+

How will we support you?
Right from the start of your career with us, you’ll be supported in your development. You’ll join our Certificate in Tool Hire Programme, a 12 month Apprenticeship that will give you the tools to be successful in your role. Over the length of your apprenticeship programme, you’ll explore:
  • Our safety culture within branch
  • How to service and maintain our tools
  • The products we hire and the services we provid
Our Apprenticeships are focused on your development and factor study time into your working week, so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance. We provide you with a fantastic support network through; 1:1 coaching, mentoring and technical and skills training to enable you to progress your career with us. Along the way, our experienced team will provide you with plenty of support to ensure you get the best out of your Apprenticeship. And it doesn’t have to end here, as we have a suite of Apprenticeship programmes that can support you to continue to develop your career with us, all the way up to the Boardroom.
