What will you be doing?

You'll begin by learning the ropes at our Milnthorpe branch, gaining an understanding of our business, our products and the importance of safe, efficient deliveries.

As part of your development, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Work alongside experienced drivers and colleagues to learn the role.
• Develop your knowledge of building materials and our delivery operations.
• Learn how to load, secure and handle materials safely.
• Build an understanding of vehicle safety checks and transport regulations.
• Work towards obtaining your Class 2 HGV licence through our training scheme.
• Develop your customer service skills and build positive relationships with local customers.
• Progress towards making deliveries independently once you've achieved the necessary qualifications and authorisations.

As you develop, you'll gain the confidence and practical experience needed to become a fully qualified HGV Driver, with opportunities to build on your skills as your career progresses.
