We currently have an exciting opportunity for a UX/ UI Designer to work within the Core Systems Programme within the Travis Perkins Group alongside our partner Infor.
The Core Systems transformation programme is fundamental to the Travis Perkins Group and will deliver the replacement of a heritage system which has been at the heart of the business for over 35 years. The programme vision for customers and colleagues to have a quicker, more consistent and more accurate experience to facilitate the growth of the business also supports the Future Merchant Strategic initiative
The role we're recruiting for;
The UX/UI Designer is responsible for delivering user interface designs for merchanting systems utilising branding guidelines, graphic and digital design and personalisation applications. They need to take into account agreed business processes and customer journeys.
You will support the future design of business interfaces across multiple brands, translating the business ideas and requirements into usable product interfaces.
The UX/ UI Designer is responsible for creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, style guides, graphic designs and HTML/ CSS to demonstrate a variety of designs to help stakeholders visualise the systems we will be putting in place.
You will be responsible for staying up to date with the latest UX/ UI advancements, design trends and latest implementation techniques.
You will support the different workstreams by providing assets, designs and demonstrations of the Interface so that the overall design is understood and implemented seamlessly.
What we’re looking for…
- Experience of working in a UX/ UI Design role
- Strong Graduate wishing to develop skills in the UX/UI designer area
- Proficient with using the Adobe suite in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Usability, accessibility, interface design and user experience
- Be a technical specialist in prototyping programmes such as Axure, Sketch, Figma, Marvel app and invision.
- Someone with a background in marketing as well as design
- A good working understanding of Agile and how Enterprise Agile has been applied within a large organisation
- Proficient in HTML5 and CSS
- It would be preferred if you had Video Editing skills, You tube channel upload and management
- The ability to work well in a team
- Positive and motivated attitude
- Gaining respect and creating a sense of confidence among IT and business stakeholders
