DELIVERY DRIVER

Job Purpose
To deliver our finished goods to our clients in a safe and efficient manner within set timeframes. To
ensure proper handling whilst delivering high standards of customer care at all times. This will be
undertaken in our 3.5t curtain-sided luton style vans.

Location
Based at our Colliery Lane, CV7 Factory

Working Hours
Start Time flexible between 0700hrs and 0800hrs. The shift will be no less than 8hrs but no more
than 11 hrs.

Salary
£10.50 per hour

Delivery driver duties
The primary duty of Drivers is to deliver safely to their destination. They are also expected to
perform the following duties including but not limited to:
? Making sure that goods are loaded and secured in a manner to facilitate safe delivery.
? Collecting goods from 3 rd party suppliers and delivering back to our factories.
? Deliver all goods to the correct consignees
? Collect proof of delivery at all points.
? Properly use and care for any other equipment such as mobile phones
? Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work
environment
? Keep any company vehicle clean and ensure it is well maintained, has fuel, oil etc and is safe
to drive
? Complete daily walkaround checks of the vehicle and also log daily any hours worked.

? Follow any planned schedule but also be able to be flexible and change routes if needed on
the advice of the Transport Team.
? Maintain full contact with the traffic team and report any delays.
? Driving in inclement weather such as snow or ice.
? Be able to interact with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
? Maintain full delivery route, mileage and delivery logs.
? May be required to undertake deliveries from any of our 2 manufacturing sites.
Delivery Driver Skills and Qualifications
? Must be over 25yrs old, and preferably have a clean driving licence with category B
entitlement. Please list any endorsements on your licence when applying.
? Must have good Customer Service skills.
? Be able to use phone based Applications for daily vehicle checks, logging of hours and
recording all deliveries.
? Be physically fit and be able to drive and sit for long periods
? Be enthusiastic and have an attention to detail.
? Must be smart and presentable.
? The flexibility, if needed at any time to stay overnight away from home would be welcome
but not compulsory.
