Looking to start your career but don't know where to look? Do you enjoy working as part of a team, do you like helping people, and don’t mind working outside, then we may have the role for you, a Warehouse Assistant in our Yard.  You don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, as long as you have the ability to provide great customer service, we will support you with a great onboarding experience and encourage you onto our TP development scheme. 

 
You will be joining our Knutsford branch on The Old Water Tower, Mobberley Road, we have a great close knit team, we are like family, with 7 colleagues, 1 delivery vehicle and a satellite Tool Hire.  We may be a small branch, but perfect for you to start your first yard role and career with the Group and really understand how our branch operates, we are strong and focused on succession planning, so if you are willing to learn and have the drive to succeed, you will find endless opportunities in branch to progress up to management level.  We see over 100 Trade customers a day, most we know on a first name basis, our Branch Manager has crated a friendly, fun atmosphere for colleagues and customers, so you will be in good hands.
 
 
Hours - Monday - Friday 7am - 4.30pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm - alternate Saturdays only.

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but now that you have completed your onboarding, here are a few pointers:
  • Candidates will need to be 18yrs or over, as you will be driving a forklift, but don't worry full training is provided
  • As part of the Yard team, you will be on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard, so its key to be helpful and friendly at all times
  • You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles. Also unloading our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse/yard.

  • Someone that is physically active, this role is located outside and will involve lifting heavy building materials and use of manual handling equipment, such as forklift 
  • Someone that has a friendly and outgoing personality who is happy to communicate face to face with customers and build strong relationships
  • Someone that has high levels of energy and drive and a sense of humour
