Looking to start your career but don't know where to look, do you enjoy working as part of a team and like helping people, and don’t mind working outside, then we may have the role for you, we are looking for 2 x Warehouse Assistants, we call them Yard Assistants, you may be in a similar role already but why not work for one of Britain's Top Employers.  

Please note that applicants must be 18 years or over to be considered for this opportunity, purely due to Health & Safety.

You don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, as long as you have the ability to provide great customer service, we will support you with a great onboarding experience and encourage you onto our TP development scheme to support.  You can also go on our Customer Service Apprenticeship scheme, if you choose. 

You will be joining our Fort William branch on Ben Nevis Estate, Claggan, we have 15 colleagues and 3 delivery vehicles.  Given the size of the branch it’s really busy with a footfall of over 100 Trade customers a day, most we know on a first name basis. The Branch Manager has created a fun and professional environment where everyone supports one another, so you will be in great hands from day one!
 
Opening Hours - Monday - Friday 7.30am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays).  
We are looking for two people to join our branch and you will be offered a minimum of 30 hours per week, flex up, which means there is overtime available as and when up to 44.5 hours per week. This can be discussed at interview stage.

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but with your new found product knowledge and onboarding, here are a few pointers:
  • You will be driving a forklift, but don't worry full training is provided, please note candidates need to be 18yrs to drive a forklift
  • As part of the Warehouse team, you will be based outside on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard, supporting with their orders, also loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
  • You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
