Looking to start your career but don't know where to look, do you enjoy working as part of a team and like helping people, and don’t mind working outside, then we may have the role for you, a Warehouse Assistant, we call them Yard Assistants, you may be in a similar role already but why not work for one of Britain's Top Employers.  

You don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, as long as you have the ability to provide great customer service, we will support you with a great onboarding experience and encourage you onto our TP development scheme to support.  You can also go on our Customer Service Apprenticeship scheme, if you choose. 
 
You will be joining our branch at Palmers Green, this is a really busy branch with footfall of over 150 Trade customers a day, most we know on a first name basis.  We have a team of 30 colleagues, a Tool Hire department and 7 delivery vehicles.  Our Branch Manager has created a dynamic, fast paced and lively environment, so you will have great support around you from day one!  

We are less than a 5 minute walk from Palmers Green train station - Free car parking, you could travel via bus from underground stations Southgate and Wood Green about 15 mins. 

Opening Hours - Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm and Saturdays 8.00am - 12.00pm ( you will only need to work 1 Saturday in 2) We are looking for someone to work 30 hours a week, to suit your lifestyle, hours can be discussed at interview stage, there is also overtime available.

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but with your new found product knowledge and onboarding, here are a few pointers:
  • You will be driving a forklift, but don't worry full training is provided, please note candidates must be 18yrs or older
  • As part of the Warehouse team, you will be based outside on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard, supporting with their orders, also loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
  • You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
