We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Sales Assistant / Relief Driver to join our business and support the opening of our new Flagship branch in Aintree. With a potential open date at the end of the year 2021, our Flagship branch will be located in a prime location in the middle of KeyPoint and will become a destination of choice for trade customers within Liverpool and Merseyside. With a newly recruited team of around 22, the branch will also have a full Tool Hire with 6 delivery vehicles.
How important is this role to the business
Joining our friendly and hard working family as a Warehouse Sales Assistant/Relief Driver, you will part of the Warehouse Sales team, this is a key customer facing role, you will need the ability to provide Great Customer Service, have a strong work ethic and be physically fit. You will need to off held a full UK driving license for a minimum of 12 months, HGV Class 2 license which is Cat C (7.5 - 32 tonne) and able to provide CPC training records. Ideally you will have experience in the operation of Hiab equipment, specifically crane, however, this is not essential as we will put you through thorough training and fund it.
What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but here are a few pointers:
Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
As a Warehouse Sales Assistant/Relief Driver, you will be carrying out multi‐drop deliveries from our branch direct to our local customers as and when needed.
It’ll be down to you to make sure the vehicle is loaded properly, safely and in line with road and transport legislation.
When you get to your destination, you’ll be the ultimate professional, polite, helpful and the face of Travis Perkins.
Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
As a Warehouse Sales Assistant/Relief Driver your working week will be 44.5 hours, our opening hours will be Monday - Friday 7am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays)
