We have a very exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Sales Supervisor to join our business and support our Barnstable branch. Barnstable is a very successful and busy branch with a footfall of up to 150 customers per day and boasts a team of 13 colleagues, you will be in charge of 4 yard colleagues. 2 vehicles.
 
As a Warehouse Sales Supervisor, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service whilst ensuring the safe and efficient running of our yard. You will also be responsible for leading and inspiring the yard team, who will be on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard. You will play a vital role in our continued success in our Barnstable branch.  You’ll support the delivery of our Doing What Matters strategy for both colleagues and customers at a local level through amazing operational effectiveness. 
 
As a Yard Sales Supervisor your working week will be 44.5 hours per week, our opening hours will be Monday - Friday 7.30am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays).

What will I be doing?
  • No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but here are a few pointers:
  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
  • You will be based outside leading the external yard team, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
  • You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
  • Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment at all times.
  • What skills do you need?
  • This is a key customer facing role, you just need the ability to provide great customer service and have experience in a management/ supervisory role, we can teach you the rest. We need leadership skill’s and people skills.
