At the heart of Travis Perkins is our customer; the builder, plumber, joiner plus many more trades. The trade relies on us as their local Timber & Builders Merchant, and with over 700 branches nationwide, we have Great Britain covered.
This is a hybrid role where you will work from home and at our HUB head office based in Northampton, this exciting Marketing role sits within the wider Marketing team, reporting to the Head of Marketing. Through strategic thinking, strong data driven insight and creativity, you’ll be responsible for all direct marketing and national promotions as part of the overall business strategy.
What will you do?
The Customer Marketing Manager will own and develop a strategy that helps build long-term relationships with our customers and drive footfall into branch and online, delivering incremental sales and ROI; be that through direct marketing or promotions.
- Customer proposition development for the target customer set
- Customer feature roadmap development, and deployment through engaging and creative campaigns
- Use competitor and customer insight to develop strategies
- Develop productive relationships with commercial, sales and operations to identify products and services fit the requirements of the selected customer set and influence change
- Promotional activity, direct marketing, social media, content & advertising
- Understand and report on the customer segment within the context of the market
- Lead and develop 3 direct reports
What were we looking for?
- Previous proven Marketing expertise, including in CRM
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic, proactive self- starter
- Hands-on team player
- Keep cool under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of stakeholders
- Confident presenter and assertive manner
