Job Description

Employee Relations Business Partners  - 9 month FTC
Location - Northampton

We are looking for 3 engaging Employee Relations Business Partners to work in a Fixed Term contract role within an exciting Project. 
The HR function within Plumbing & Heating has commenced a programme to separate and create an HR operating model which standalone's from an historic centralised HR model in the wider Travis Perkins group business. 
This role will be pivotal in driving the business change and the end to end creation of a new HR Operating Model.


The Role 

You will be responsible for providing specialist ER advice and support to line managers on Policy and Procedures together with case management for complex cases and Long term sick situation.  


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • You will be the first point of contact for managers with generalist ER related enquiries, solving at first contact by providing sound step by step advice supported by policies, procedures and support documentation such as template letters 
  • Management of Employee Relations case work and advice, upskilling our managers to manage their people issues, developing creative solutions , balancing legislative requirements and business needs
  • Write and administer manager and HRBP information on specific ER findings based on trends from volume of activity received from managers
  • Maintain employee data to ensure accuracy when compiling reporting and analysis of employee information
What you will have 
  • Experience  of working within a similar  ER role 
  • Managed high volume Employee Relations cases
  • Make sound judgements with the ability to read situations and apply discretion and clear thought to resolve them
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and management of employee relations matters
  • Ability to analyse data to produce business insight  
  • Confident and clear communicator (both written and oral) and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Able to work alone and manage self on a remote basis with minimal supervision / support
  • Strong team player and works collaboratively to deliver results
