Executive Assistant to CEO

Competitive Remuneration Package

Northampton, Northamptonshire

In a world that is reliant on technology and moving ever faster, the role of Executive Assistant to our CEO is critical to our success.

Why? Because, you’re the person that supports and helps enable the CEO to lead the business and continue driving it forward. You’re the person that keeps the CEO’s affairs in order, running smoothly, and connecting the leadership team. This is a fast paced role with a broad scope of stakeholders internally and externally.  In the day to day management of the CEO’s agenda you will also ensure that the accessibility and availability of the CEO to colleagues, customers and partners is maintained.

And it’s more than that.

You’ll be focused on adding value across a number of broader activities, requiring critical thinking and a naturally curious and analytical mindset.  Activities will include collating and preparing data, programme and performance summaries and dashboards, competitor, customer and market data and news for the CEO and wider Group Leadership Team.  But again it is more than this - as a self starter with a proactive attitude you will be able to anticipate critical data that the CEO and Group Leadership Team will need, alongside being actively involved in strategic initiatives important for company culture and company success.

Roles like this don’t come up very often. This is a great opportunity to progress and develop your career.  You may have a demonstrable background as an EA but equally you may be working in a different role with valuable experience you could bring, and we’re open to being shown why you’re the person to succeed in this role.

We’re a FTSE 250 business, the UK's largest distributor of building materials.  We’ve been helping to build Britain for over 200 years. And we’re more than 20 brands strong across the Group.

Outside of a competitive remuneration package, we offer an extensive reward and benefits package. You’ll need to have the flexibility to travel and to be mobile with a base/presence in Northampton with regular days in London, or elsewhere, as required with the CEO.
