Are you an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver looking to join a high-performing team? This is your chance to work at a major site known for its size, staff, and sales performance.
The Role at a Glance:
- Location: Keyline Birmingham Flagship Branch.
- Branch Profile: A major site, operational for 3.5 years, just under 3 acres in size, with a dedicated team of 13 staff.
- Performance: A high-turnover branch, consistently hitting £900k - £1 million per month.
- Fleet: Part of a 5-vehicle fleet on site (4x LGV, 1x 3.5t Van).
- Ideal Candidate: An experienced LGV driver with HIAB experience and familiarity with the Builders Merchant sector. (Please note: Due to the nature of our site work, newly qualified drivers may find this role challenging.)

- FORS Gold Accreditation: Work for a recognised FORS Gold accredited business.
- Flexibility: We’re open to discussing reduced hours, flexible start/finish times, compressed hours, part-time, or job sharing. Talk to us during the interview about the flexibility you need.
Benefits:
- Discounts: 20% off Toolstation and tool hire at Travis Perkins, plus access to hundreds of other perks (food, holidays, cinema, retail, etc.).
- Financial Future: Company pension plan and Share Schemes (buy shares at a discounted rate).
- Career Growth: Ongoing development and progression opportunities.
What will you be doing?
You'll be moving vital stock like civils, heavy building materials, and drainage solutions from our flagship branch to customers, maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. You will primarily load and unload your vehicle using a HIAB (lorry-mounted crane). You'll ensure your vehicle is loaded correctly, safe, and legal, and complete daily vehicle checks. Expect plenty of local multi-drop deliveries, with regular returns to this high-volume branch to reload. You’ll also pitch in with general yard duties, loading/unloading, and keeping your vehicle clean and tidy. Above all, safety comes first.
Who you are
The ideal driver for this flagship role will be an experienced professional with a background in builders' merchants or a similar heavy logistics environment.
- You’ve got a Category C Class 2 driving licence.
- Your CPC (DQC Card) is up to date.
- You have recent, demonstrable HGV driving experience, ideally within the Builders Merchant industry.
- HIAB/Lorry Loader experience is highly beneficial (but we will train the right candidate).
- You are comfortable chatting with customers and building solid relationships.
- You take safety seriously and always work in a professional and safe way.
- You’ve got the drive and ambition to be part of a high-achieving team.
