HGV Driver Class 2
HGV Driver - Class 2 - Wickford, Essex
Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:30pm - No overnights!
Alternate Saturdays, 8am to 12noon
Drive your HGV career forwards with Travis Perkins Wickford, one of our flagships stores and within our Top 40 UK branches!
Completing our highly experienced driving team of 4, you'll be our resident 18 tonne HGV class 2 expert, demonstrating exceptional safety, customer service, and motivation. Completing up to 14 drops per day when fully inducted, you'll gradually increase your workload as you receive a planned induction - which will also include full CPC and HIAB training if needed! With our two HGVs supported by two 3.5t vans, you'll play a crucial role in the success of Travis Perkins, by delivering building materials from our branch to a wide range of local trade and independent customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. Our Yard Team will help to load up your vehicle with the HIAB lorry-mounted crane, and once you've double-checked it’s all properly packed and legal you'll hit the road to champion our business and deliver market-leading customer service before returning to site approximately an hour before you finish each day.
We are looking for an experienced HGV class 2 driver, ideally with experience in a relevant industry or with multi-drop customer-facing deliveries. As part of a team of 20 colleagues at this branch, you'll need to be a personable, friendly face and a strong communicator as you together pursue excellence to achieve your branch targets and continue your climb through our list of highest performing branches. Crucially, you'll be a safety-minded person, understanding and complying with our comprehensive safety procedures to ensure that you, your colleagues, and your customers will all head home happy at the end of an enjoyable day at work.
