Come and join Travis Perkins as a Pricing Analyst in a varied and influential opportunity. We are looking for a commercially focused individual to join our General Merchanting Pricing Team.

What you’ll do

As the Pricing Analyst you will provide support to Category Pricing Team, helping deliver the best commercial decisions for the business in our General Merchanting Division. You will achieve this by the provision of accurate, consistent and meaningful insights which allow the commercial teams to deliver performance. Using key pricing and statistical models, you will analyse underlying data trends to identify risks and opportunities that could affect the achievement of business objectives.
Some accountabilities of the role:

- Provide accurate, consistent and meaningful reporting to both the team and wider business
- Support the Pricing Team in developing and delivering key performance metrics which help the business understand performance against our goals
- Manage and own all data requirements to deliver price reporting, including competitor matches, TP sales and pricing data
- Produce reports which create actionable insight and help drive improved business performance
- Plan and manage small scale projects to support business initiatives or investigate the underlying reasons behind performance variances
- Support the Category Pricing Team to develop and deliver key performance metrics which help the business understand category performance
- Continuously challenge current processes and recommend improvements to all aspects of reporting and analysis. 

It would be great if you had experience in

Due to the demands of this role, the successful candidate will need to have strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills with a diverse range of key stakeholders. As well as working as part of a team, you will be comfortable working independently using your own initiative and have an ability to manage multiple work demands in a fast paced growth environment.

You will have an affinity for data, confidently translating complex data sets into simple and actionable presentations. Your keen eye for detail and excellent commercial acumen means you will be able to handle the data to drive decisions and spot opportunities to add value and improve business performance. Experience in a commercial environment would be preferable but not essential. 

Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik, Tableau, SAS/R would be advantageous but not essential. Experience using Java scripting & Python / R would also be a plus.
