Senior Data Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to sit within our Group Data Governance team. If you have proven experience within a Governance Data Analytics, Data Quality or Data Cleansing role we would love to talk to you! 

This is a remote based role where you will meet your team within the Northampton office 1-2 times a week.  

What you’ll do

Responsible for driving data governance and investigating the quality of data held on Travis Perkins Legacy systems, generating and developing reporting, dashboard and process improvements, to address data challenges.  Working with key business areas to understand their challenges and establish or refine data sources and reporting to deliver optimum governance, performance and usability of solutions. You will also lead a team of Data Analysts where you will be responsible for best practice knowledge and experience to support their professional and personal development

Some of the responsibilities for this role is: 

• Support the Implementation of the Groups Data Strategy through the implementation of data governance processes and technologies.

• Manage the master data dictionary and data catalogue for a given data domain ensuring its accuracy and completeness are aligned to the Travis Perkins Group standards

• Analyse legacy applications to expose data that is not of sufficient quality or structure.

• Coordinate data remediation, working collaboratively with the business unit to define the data enhancements and identify the source and target systems.

• Analyse business processes around data, creating recommendations for improvement and working with the wider data team to implement improvements.

• Designing, developing and testing fully automated reports and dashboards solutions using best practice methods, avoiding hard coding and duplication of effort establishing process automation where applicable. 

• Designing, developing and testing new data quality standards ensuring optimum usability and performance.

Is this you

To be successful in this role you will need to be confident and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills as you will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.  You also need to have relevant professional experience within Data Governance, Data Analytics, Data Quality or Data Remediation roles. You will ideally have experience within Informatica Cloud Data Quality, Sql Server, Looker, Tableau, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel or similar technologies and Process improvement experience.
