Are you an experienced Warehouse Supervisor/Manager, or maybe already from our industry and in a Yard Manager/Supervisor role. Do you have experience of leading a small team and enjoy working outside and helping customers, then we may have the role for you, due to an internal move, we are looking for a Warehouse Manager, we call them Yard Managers!.  

You will be joining our prestigious Flagship branch in Ferndown, Bournemouth on the Ferndown Industrial Estate. There is already a fantastic, well-established team of 34 colleagues and 8 delivery vehicles, we also have a successful Tool Hire department and Benchmarx Showroom.  This branch is very busy, it has a footfall of over 200 Trade Customers a day, so the the Branch Manager has created a vibrant, fun, friendly and professional atmosphere, so you will be in great hands.  
We are also investing in a £2.5m branch refit, so this is a great time to join, our branch is going to stand out in the crowd!
 
Hours - Monday - Friday 7am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays)

As our Warehouse Manager, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service whilst ensuring the safe and efficient running of our yard. You will also be responsible for leading and inspiring our yard team of 10 and 7 drivers, our colleagues are on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard and for our deliveries. 
 
You will be part of the branch management team, so need to play a vital role in our continued success and be instrumental in taking our Ferndown branch to the next level. 
 
What am I responsible for?
People - As Warehouse Manager you will lead, motivate, engage a team of 10, delegate to empower the teams of the yard and drivers to work together as one.
Ensure that succession planning is being used to drive talent sustainability, coach and mentor direct reports “rising stars” and management apprentices as required.
Being based outside leading the external yard team, you will be processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
Stay Safe, Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture across the branch at all times promoting a healthy workplace and colleague wellbeing. 
Customers - Developing strong relationships with branch customers in order to build profitable business growth.
Operations - Managing the full operation of the branch yard, ensure that adequate provision is made for customer deliveries, that branch layout is What Great Looks Like standards for safety, storage efficiency, housekeeping, and ability of customers to find products they might want to buy.

What experience do you need?
The successful candidate will already be running a small to medium-sized team in a similar role and will bring with them, their transferable skills including, Leadership, Great Customer Service and Health and Safety.
