Looking for a new opportunity, have you got experience of leading a small team and enjoy working outside and helping customers, then we may have the role for you, a Warehouse Supervisor, we call them Yard Supervisors.  You don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, we will support you with a great onboarding experience and encourage you onto our TP development scheme. 
 
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will join our Halifax Branch on Albert Street off Hanson Lane. The branch already has a fantastic, well established and experienced team of over 13 colleagues and they are running 3 delivery vehicles. This is a busy branch with a footfall of over 150 Trade customers a day, so the Branch Manager has created a really great atmosphere where everyone helps one another and are a really engaged team, so you don't need to come from our sector or know our products, you will be in great hands from day one.
 
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service whilst ensuring the safe and efficient running of our yard. You will also be responsible for leading and inspiring our yard team of three, who are on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard, also two HGV Drivers. Being part of the branch management team, you will play a vital role in our continued success and be instrumental in taking our Halifax branch to the next level. You’ll support the delivery of our Doing What Matters strategy for both colleagues and customers at a local level through amazing operational effectiveness. 
 
Hours - Monday - Friday 7.30am 5pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays)

Responsibilities
  • People - As Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead, motivate, engage, delegate to empower the teams of the yard team to work together as one.
    • Ensure that succession planning is being used to drive talent sustainability, coach and mentor direct reports “rising stars” and management apprentices as required.
    • Being based outside leading the external yard team of three, you will be processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
  • Stay Safe, Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture across the branch at all times promoting a healthy workplace and colleague wellbeing. 
  • Customers - Developing strong relationships with branch customers in order to build profitable business growth.
  • Operations - Managing the full operation of the branch yard, ensure that adequate provision is made for customer deliveries, that branch layout is What Great Looks Like standards for safety, storage efficiency, housekeeping, and ability of customers to find products they might want to buy.

What experience do you need?
The successful candidate will already be running a small to medium-sized team in a similar role and will bring with them, their transferable skills including, Health and Safety, Leadership, Sales Experience and Great Customer Service.
