Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in the Sheffield branch and support us to establish ourselves as leaders in the market. You will be working as a team of 14 colleagues, managing two delivery vehicles and a large yard. We have a great mix of experience in the branch alongside a successful tool hire department.

Location: BSS, Oakham Drive Parkwood Industrial Estate, Sheffield S3 9QX

Opening Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm, we like our weekends off at BSS!

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in branch life with BSS, but with your new found product knowledge and onboarding, here are a few pointers:
  • Managing the warehouse, ensuring that adequate provision is made for customer deliveries, that branch layout is right and standards for safety, storage efficiency, housekeeping, and ability of customers to find products they might want to buy.
  • Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture across the branch at all times promoting a healthy workplace and colleague wellbeing. 
  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times.
  • An engaging leader, who is able to delegate successfully and empower colleagues to take accountability and responsibility of areas of the warehouse, creating and cultivating that “one team” approach.
  • You will also unload our air conditioning and ancillary products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them into our warehouse.
  • Candidates need to be 18yrs or over, as you will be driving a forklift, but don't worry full training is provided.
Who are we looking for?
  • The successful candidate will already be running a small team in a similar role and will bring with them, their transferable skills including, Supervisory experience, Safety awareness and Great Customer Service.
  • You’ll have a great worth ethic, be a team player and work closely with your branch colleagues to get the job done 
  • You’ll be physically active, this role may involve lifting heavy materials and use of manual handling equipment, such as forklift
  • You’ll have friendly and outgoing personality, someone that is happy to communicate face to face with customers and build strong relationships
  • Someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment that has a thirst for learning
