Looking to start your career but don't know where to look? Do you enjoy working as part of a team, do you like helping people, and don’t mind working in a Warehouse Assistant.  You don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, as long as you have the ability to provide great customer service, we will support you with a great onboarding experience. 


We are CCF part of the Travis Perkins Group, we are a nationwide distributor of insulation and interior building products to the UK construction industry with 36 branches across the UK.

Our Peterborough branch is based on Newark Road, PE15YX, this is a really busy branch the 5th largest turnover across our estate, we have a footfall of over 30 Trade customers a day, most we know on a first name basis. With an experienced team of over 28 colleagues, this branch has a great atmosphere, where everyone pulls to
gether as a team. 

Hours - Monday-Friday 5am - 4.30pm. Total 42.5 hours per week  - We don't work weekends or bank holidays!
Hours can be discussed at interview stage.

As a Warehouse Operative, what will I be doing?No one day is the same as the next in CCF branch life, but now that you have completed your onboarding, here are a few pointers:
  • You’ll be part of a team of 8 experienced Warehouse colleagues, so great support around you.
  • Candidates will need to be 18yrs or over, as you will be driving a forklift, but don't worry full training is provided
  • The key thing is to be helpful and friendly – the perfect assistant for customers that you’ll likely get to know by name. 
  • You’ll also be responsible for ensuring the safe and correct movement of materials around the branch and warehouse. This will include loading customer and company vehicles, offloading supplier deliveries into stock and picking orders for our fleet of 11 HGV vehicles as well as customers collecting
  • Safety is a priority and you’ll make sure that standards never slip.

  • Someone that is physically active, this role is located outside and will involve lifting heavy building materials and use of manual handling equipment, such as forklift 
  • Someone that has a friendly and outgoing personality who is happy to communicate face to face with customers and build strong relationships
  • Someone that has high levels of energy and drive and a sense of humour
